Our seconds welcomed UL Bohs to Coonagh for the last second’s league fixture before Christmas. It was a bruising encounter in which neither side backed down. On a freezing day, the sides were pretty evenly matched and this was reflected in the final score which read 21-20 seeing Bohs edge the win. Hard luck to the lads!

Our Thirds continued their winning ways this side of Christmas with a big win against UL Bohs in Annacotty. In a great team performance, which saw a big span in age the lads came away with a 24-0 win. It was great to see some familiar faces line out with the lads. Best of luck to the thirds this Friday where we hope they can keep up the good results!

It was heartbreak for our u18s Girls who bowed out of the league after reaching the semi-final on Sunday. They took on Banty Bay in Coonagh in a very tough match with solid displays of rugby. The girls put it all in and left nothing on the pitch but were unfortunate to come away without the win with a 10-5 score line. Hard luck to the girls and best wishes to all who picked up injuries on the day!

Our u10s had a win on the road against Ballina/Kilaloe on Sunday and had a great outing on the day. Well done to all, they have put in some great work this side of Christmas and it’s great to see them doing so well!

Celebrate Christmas with us in Thomond Park this Sunday!! All training for Underage up to U10 and U12 Girls will be in the Thomond Park back pitch this Sunday. We will have a very special visit from Santa in the clubhouse after training so come on in and meet the man himself and join the Christmas Party. All club members and friends are welcome. U11 boys will train in Coonagh and join the party afterwards.

Don’t forget to buy your Christmas tree off Shannon RFC this year!!! €40-45 - To order your tree Text 0862765791.
