It was back to business for our Firsts this weekend as they welcomed Ballynahinch to Thomond Park for the penultimate home match for this season. The weather set the scene for a fantastic day of rugby and as the supporters basked in the sunlight, out firsts put on of their most impressive performances of the season. Massive credit must go to the Firsts as they did the necessary coming away with a much-needed win that will almost certainly bolster our survival hopes for the season. We are now in seventh place on the table with 34 points. We have another weekend off this weekend before it’s the last home match of the season, with Buccaneers coming to Thomond Park in what will surely be an entertaining affair. Find last week’s match report here.
Our Ladies were also back in action after their semifinal loss to Tralee two weeks ago. They travelled to Garryowen FC to take on Bandon in the Third/Fourth place play off. It was a fantastic team performance from our Ladies who hit the ground running and kept pressure on for the entire match. The final score read 32-0 and our Ladies will be looking forward to this weekends Cup match v Ballincollig. It was also fantastic to see more of our u18s graduate to the Senior panel with both Roisin Willis and Ciara Noonan making appearances on the day! Well done girls!
Our seconds and thirds both received walkovers last weekend and will be anxious to get back into the swing of things as the season slowly winds to a close.
The lotto for the last week showed no winners.
For the 23rd of March, the numbers drawn were; 04, 21, 26, 29 and consolation prizes of €50 went to:

Next week’s draw is for €6,100 and will be held in The Rock Bar on the 30th March.
Don’t forget about our events in the clubhouse for this weekend’s quarterfinal match v Toulouse! Make sure you keep an eye out for our underage who will be fundraising around the clubhouse in aid of their Easter tour to Turin. The U14’s will be running a score forecast competition on the day and will selling tickets in the clubhouse on the day. Please also keep an eye out around Thomond Park as they will also be holding a bucket collection.
