Felix Jones joined Shannon in 2009 after he spent his entire career with his native Seapoint RFC. His membership of Shannon coincided with his move from Leinster to Munster. In 2007 he was part of the Ireland U/20 Grand slam winning side and in 2009 he was an integral part of the Ireland Churchill cup winning team. Injury has this far dogged his emerging career and never more cruelly demonstrated prior to the 2011 World cup. His first International came off the bench in the opening world cup warm up game against Scotland and again the following week he was sprung from the bench against France. His first starting cap came in the return match against France, but it was a more bitter that sweat day for Felix. An ankle injury ruled him out of selection for the WRC, which was destined to be a certainty.
1st international cap V Scotland August 2011.
