We wake up this Monday morning to the dreadfully sad news that our friend and Shannon RFC vice President Jimmy Mc Nicholas passed away last night. We may not be having a great season on the pitch, but the passing of so many of our great members this season overshadow anything that happens on the pitch. It's only a game after all.
Shannon lose a great Friend, Jimmy O'Brien RIP
We head to Dublin today with a touch of sadness, as one of our great supporters, Jimmy O'Brien will no longer be there to cheer us on from the sidelines. His friend John Loftus has kindly written us a remembrance of Jimmy.
